This book developed out of the experiences of developing gender sensitive budgets in several countries. It draws data from countries which already have gender sensitive budgets in place, or those which are initiating them ( Australia, South Africa, Mozambique, Tanzania, Sri Lanka and Barbados). It show the diversity of approaches in different countries, and cover the issues, methods and strategies for the first year of implementing the exercise. The book has a strong practical orientation.
