PKD的小说线索丰富，很适合拍电影，读起来也正好是一部电影的时间。跟他其他的书不太一样，这是一个完全在现实场景里的故事，但是仍有他特别的文字速度，时而迷幻的意识叙述，黑色幽默，和总体的悲观世界。
