In Birth of an ADHD Child, a boy with disabilities takes a journey through the twisted maze of special education. The book is based on seventeen years of experience, carefully chronicled by the author (his mother) in journals and notes. Becky L. Milton describes the violation of her sonas rights due to his disabilities. This fact-based story is not intended to be disrespectful toward those with disabilities; rather, the author wants to make others aware of the irreversible harm done when society separates itself from children with disabilities. Every child can and should learn, but first children must be taught to learn.
