研究奧斯曼消費consumption的論文集，主編Quataert認為以消費而非生産為中心視角的研究能夠更好地將經濟史和政治史社會史研究起來，也有助於反思資本主義興起的問題。八篇論文裏有兩篇的主要內容是研究方法，特彆是關於材料的方法，剩下六篇是比較微觀的個案研究。專業搞奧斯曼的不能錯過，如果是票友的話，那沒什麼大必要花時間啃這個。
