The bad news is so close, so customary, that it becomes "very, very" bad. Thanks to the corrosive humour of Jordi Bernado, the shanty towns of Brazil, the peep shows of Barcelona, the beaches of Cape Town and Sydney, the downtown area of Detroit, the ruins of Bucharest, the subterranean world of Nagoya go to form a unique landscape that the reader will put together for him- or herself and of which only the photographer retains the memory. A joint but different trip, with a single fixation: contriving, by means of the pairing of images, to accentuate the insistence on portraying the black side of apparent normality.
