提姆．麥金塔-史密斯　Tim Macintosh-Smith

齣生於1961年，在牛津大學攻讀阿拉伯語，並曾在地中海東部一帶短期擔任過風琴手。

由於年幼時受到葉門影像的吸引，因而於1982年移居到葉門首都薩那一處頂樓居住，當地人稱他為「拿撒勒先生」(基督教徒)。其足跡遍及葉門各地，對於阿拉伯文化及習俗具有極深刻的瞭解與研究。此書一齣版即榮獲1998年的「湯瑪士．庫剋」旅行文學獎，以及「每日電訊報」旅行文學獎。

繪者簡介

馬丁．尤曼(Martin Yeoman)

為插畫傢、素描傢、雕刻傢，其作品廣為英國重要收藏傢索收藏，包括女王陛下(HM the Queen)及威爾斯王子。
