From the big-city glamour of Beijing to the glitz of Bangkok to the street food of Singapore, each is fleshed out in gorgeous detail and colour by this Singaporean virtuoso. AUTHOR: Tan Ping is a retired senior lecturer at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore, where he taught for 30 years. He is making full use of his retirement to paint and work on Travel sketches A Journal. Having won a host of awards and had his works in exhibitions and private collections, he has been an important part of the Singaporean art scene since the '60s.
