Included are selections from the inter-nationally-known critic, Georg Brandes; the original impressionist stylist, Herman Bang; two Danish Nobel Prize winners, Henrik" "Pontoppidan and Johannes V." "Jensen; the martyred clergyman-drama-tist, Kaj Munk; the literary champion of the proletariat, Martin Andersen Nexo; and the distinguished modern storyteller, Karen Blixen (Isak Dinesen). Included also are numerous other Danish writers less well known, whose presence here will bring to English-speaking" "readers, per-haps for the first time, a realization of the depth of Danish literature.
