Dina Wardi, an Israeli Jewish psychologist noted for her work with Holocaust survivors and their children, has written an emotional and moving account of her experience leading a multi-national group of Catholic nuns and priests during a conference on anti-Semitism, persecutions and Holocaust, which included visits to the Auschwitz concentration camp. Wardi takes us the through this experience as both a Jewish woman experiencing the camps for the first time and as a professional counselor in Holocaust trauma. The result is a dynamic portrayal of a trip to this most sacred place that has profoundly affected the lives and mission of all involved.
