Douglas Kent Hall is one of the great documentarians of his generation. He is photographer, writer, filmmaker and poet. His photographs of mainstream and counterculture subjects include rock music icons, bodybuilders, prison inmates, cowboys and countercultural heroes. For over thirty years he has explored the American West and has photographed and written about New Mexico's unique mix of places and people. This book includes 182 black-and-white images accompanied by Hall's insightful essay.
