佐藤忠男，日本電影評論傢、電影史學傢，曾任日本電影評論學會會長。自1950年起，在《電影評論》、《電影旬報》等雜誌發錶電影評論。

其著作頗豐，其中，《日本電影史》獲得瞭1995年的“每日齣版文化奬”、1996年的“藝術選奬”、“文部大臣奬”，並在2002年獲得韓國文化勛章、法國文化勛章等。現為日本東京電影學院院長。主要著作《今村昌平的世界》(1980)、《溝口健二的世界》(1982)、《黑澤明的世界》(1986)、《大島渚的世界》(1986)、《長榖川仲論》(1988)、《日本電影史．全四捲》(1995)、《小津安二郎的藝術》(1997)、《韓國電影的精神》(2000)等。
