In "Eat Thy Neighbour" the authors put cannibalism into its social and historical perspective. Even in an age when almost nothing is sacred numerous prohibitions surround the subject. However, there is some dark fascination with the subject. Characters include Sweeny Todd, Jeffrey Dahmer, Armin Meiwes and much to the pleasure of Boris Johnson the inhabitants of Papua New Guinea. All tastes are catered for in this hugely compelling book which is always vivacious but never salacious.

评分虽然叫”a history of cannibalism“，这本书的内容实在撑不起一部”history“，更像是探索频道会做的那种题目为”史上十大食人案件“的系列节目。语言倒是还算幽默，词汇和表达方式也很简单，基本就是纪录片解说词的文字版，想找点简单英语读物的人可以随便翻翻。
