主要介紹瞭醫藥投資的邏輯和不同於其他産業的估值模型，因為生物醫藥的初創企業在産品臨床一二三期獲批上市之前都不可能産生利潤和正的現金流，生物醫藥産業是個長期燒錢為期十年的産業，一個産品從立項到上市也差不多十年為期，據統計開發一個First-in-class的新藥需要2～5億美元的投入，在對一個生物醫藥公司估值的時候，常常從其藥物管綫（pipeline）入手，采用rNPV和option的模型，乘以每個階段性成果的成功率以及考慮藥物5～7年會迎來銷售峰值，來摺現到現在的估值。
