Ages 3 to 5 years. A little puppy who has crooked teeth, funny hair, and is the scrawniest of his litter of 13 puppies gets the unfortunate name of Butt Ugly. Of course, the name becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy and the puppy never gets adopted when his siblings with names like Princess, Fang, and Sparky are getting all of the attention. After all, nobody wants a puppy who's named Butt Ugly -- or do they? One day, the puppy gets unceremoniously dumped on a doorstep as a possible practical joke. That is the day that his life turns around when the wonderful boy who finds him makes sure that he has a forever home and all the love he deserves.
