This resource is intended as both a supply item for clergy (that they can give to parents or guardians of children who have lost a dear friend or relative) or a booklet to be purchased directly by friends or relatives of a grieving child. The text includes an introduction for parents/guardians, but the body of the book is written for children to read themselves. Or, an adult or older sibling can read the book to a younger child. The revision of this classic resource (first published in 1986) is intended to make it more obvious that the book is for children. The typographic cover has been changed to a full-color illustration and the text design reworked to make it more appropriate for children.
