This book presents the work of the Palestinian artist Sliman Mansour against the backdrop of the difficulty of life in Palestine. The occupation and the stringent regulations of everyday life in Jerusalem make a normal artist's life almost impossible. There are no museums, no galleries and no markets for artwork. The only way to show his art and to communicate with other artists is via the internet. Mansour paints for a life in peace, but also for the Palestinian cause. His pictures are influenced by the daily struggle of surviving. Faten Nastas Mitwas is the art coordinator at the Art Museum of Bethlehem and an acknowledged artist herself.
