For more than 10 years now, the "Max Planck Yearbook of United Nations Law" has become a much sought after forum for essays in international law related to the UN. Volume 12 (2008) again contains articles dealing with a variety of topics such as Security Council Powers and the Exigencies of Justice after War and Revitalising the United Nations Human Rights Special Procedures Mechanisms as a Means of Achieving and Maintaining International Peace and Security; as well as an article on the topic of the Principle of Non-Refoulement at Sea and the Effectiveness of Asylum Protection.This volume also contains in depth articles dealing with Rule of Law.
