具体描述
Set in 1969, this novella describes the narratoras unsuccessful attempts to deal with an unwanted pregnancy that threatens to derail her career as well as the relationship with her boyfriend. Subsequently, she will exhaust all other American possibilities before devising an ingenious plan to obtain a legal abortion in Japan. The novella explores the Zeitgeist of a generation and decade now largely mythologized. But given recent socio-political phenomena, the story will evoke a salutary resonance with a possibly ominous future.
