评分当年被latour批判，如今却在STS领域越来越重要的一本实验室ethnography。从物理学家的组织文化，时间架构和机械装备三个部分展开，最后使用涂尔干的文化社会分析理论来论证物理学家的cosmology是和社会/自然构成相对应的（对的，不是coproduction，所以触到了大佬逆鳞）。在我看来最喜欢detectors和male myth两章，描写和论理都很有功力，其他章就稍稍浅了些。听老师说了traweek的故事，一个好像有写作障碍的学者，一个在开会的时候自白是一个failed scholar的女性，感觉人生故事和这本书一样让人嗟叹。
评分作者幽默感太强了。唯一的问题是写作时间太早了。不过我是从读着玩的角度评判的。后面着重讲日本的部分我就不太敢读，因为不了解，怕被误导。
