评分A lucid account of Japanese women's contributions to and grievances in building modern Japan. Like many other national histories, women are often forgotton or omitted in the official rhetoric. This book represents a remarkable but accessible work to fill the void in modern Japanese history. It's a pity though that it is not widely available here.
