Resin transfer moulding is not a single manufacturing process that can be dealt with in a monlithic manner. RTM is better thought of as a philosophy of manufacturing in which the resin and fibres are held apart until the last possible moment. The focus of this text is on those RTM techniques that are intended to produce components to high quality standards for structural applications. The concentration is on the materials that can produce advanced structural components and the processes for their conversion into such products.
