In the martial arts, kata are the pre-arranged forms used to convey the intricacies of a particular style to the practitioner. Bunkai is a kind of analysis - a much neglected form of study within Karate. The various kata of Karate are taught and practised around the world. Unfortunately, not many know, or care to teach, the bunkai, referring to them as mysterious secrets. Here, these 'secrets' are revealed.
