Avery Andrews is trying to settle into her life as a small-town lawyer. She gets her first paying case in a while when Fran French arrives from Atlanta looking for her adopted sister, Neanna. Neanna's aunt was murdered in Dacus twenty years ago, the body found sprawled across a bench in a graveyard, suit-cases on the ground as if she'd packed for her journey beyond. The murder was never solved and Fran thinks Neanna came to town looking for answers. Meanwhile, Avery's landlord, Melvin Bertram, has befriended three ghost hunters who want him to invest in their TV pilot. The 'ghosters' quickly have altercations with the resident biker gang, and with Avery's private investigator. In short, they are cutting quite a swath through Camden County, and keeping Avery on her toes.While exploring the nature of family and what haunts us, "Hush My Mouth" offers an original blend of humor and mystery, with a decidedly Southern accent.
