What started out as a typical spring day in suburban Walnut Park ended as a day 14yearold Jack would never forget. A powerful tornado struck the town with virtually no warning, leaving many parts of the community in chaos and destruction. In the week that followed, Jack and his middle school friends from his Church youth group would see their personal strength and faith challenged in ways they never imagined possible. Not only did they find themselves struggling to help rebuild the community, they also worked to try to thwart a gang of high school thieves that was robbing homes, stores and even churches. At the same time, Jack learns to cope with another kind of stormhis fathers ongoing battle with cancer.
