读完才发现网盘里有现场资源，真开心！在读之前对Auden和Britten二人都是根本没听说过，读完之后也还是不太了解，但感觉这两人对于Alan而言工具性要大于故事性，最主要的是把他本人对于戏剧、性、艺术等主题的想法都借角色之口表达了出来，而因为角色的不同，观点发散又有分歧，感觉最后收尾要收好很不容易，果然最后Kay的那段话有些不够力度。总结下来就是我还太年轻见识太少，读完没有什么很深的感受，但能感觉出来这个本子很厉害，可能过几年再读能更好地理解吧。

A portrayal of a shameless poet who's tired of life as a whole and bores even himself. "Thomas Mann is my father-in-law, did I tell you that?" "I like professor Tolkien." "he's written another book." "oh more fucking elves."

Multiple roles allow the actors to construct, deconstruct, dignify, or humanize great figures and confess their private fears. At times they become the playwright's devices or even personas, discussing art, freedom, constraint, life, and death. The desire to know and be knowing haunts.
