#論文# 比較well-round的關於喬叟和女權的書。主要讀瞭第四章Misogynist Versus Feminist Chaucer，有簡短介紹喬叟時代英國的社會混亂和人們骨子裏對女性的歧視。瞭解之後對於理解The Wife of Bath還蠻有幫助。所以說，To attribute a modern conception of tragedy of Chaucer would be to deny his faith in the Providential order and to make him, in his cultural environment, a shallow fool.
