The famous story of three men and a dog setting off in an open boat on a hilarious voyage up the Thames. The story is full of mishaps - falling into the river and getting lost in Hampton Court Maze - but also offers comments on the world. 2018-16: Jerome gave us a humorous account of his boating on the Thames fortnight with his friends and the numerous situations emerged during the time. I believe he is the forefather of the genre of travel literature and the inspiration of Bill Bryson's a good many works, at least, Notes from a Small Island, from what I know of. Will read again.
