作者简介

著名中国问题专家,美国克林顿政府时期国务卿助理。1968年获伯克利大学硕士学位,1974年获麻省理工学院政治学博士学位,现任加州大学圣迭戈分校国际关系和太平洋研究研究生院教授,全球冲突与合作中心主任。

1971年,作为大学生的她曾经在北京受到周恩来的接见。
