评分“Sense of place is not just something that people know and feel, it is something people do.” Albert Camus.
评分開頭精彩、中間讀起來有些不爽、結尾關於wisdom的討論很精彩。從現實空間裏的景觀結閤敘事來解讀獨特的語言行為和意識形態。作者的論點和素材都很好，可即便作者一再強調自己的cowboy事業、和當地人的交往細節，其行文風格上還是有很多地方局限在男性白人學者高人一等局外人的態度裏。相比較之下我還是更喜歡現代人類學者有一定距離感的語言風格。
