Huang Qiaosheng received his M.A. from Nanjing University in 1986. He is a curator of Beijing Lu Xun Museum, editor-in-chief of Lu Xun Research Monthly and secretary-general of Chinese Association for Lu Xun Studies. His major works include Enter Lu Xun's World (1995), The End of Trials and Tribulations: the Three Zhou Brothers (1998), Looking Back at Lu Xun (ed. with Sun Yu, 22 volumes, 2001), Lu Xun and Hu Feng (2003), Looking Back at Zhou Zuoren (ed. with Sun Yu, 8 volmes, 2004). He also translated Bud, No Buddy (1999), A Civil Action (2002), Tom Jones (2004) and The Life of Samuel Johnson (forthcoming).
