As a young man, he drifted from foster home to foster home. Ed Harris grew up learning how to make easy money. Getting in trouble at an early age left Ed without many friends. After being caught, tried and convicted, Ed was sent to a well-known young man's penal institution in California called "Chino" where he found a friend named Mike. Once released from "Chino" Ed was soon back in business with a local gang of thieves. This was the start of his downfall. It's funny how a beautiful woman would be the root of his trouble.
