SAARDU: THE ADVENTURE BEGINS is a classic hero's journey centered around a little girl who lives in a sentient spacecraft that is actually a boy from the 11th dimension projecting himself into our universe. The story begins when Ruby, age 7, is having the worst day of her entire life. Ruby lives in a culture that is strictly ruled by superstitious genetic engineers who put her parents down for being incurable daydreamers. It's Ruby's fault that they are found out, and her fault that their dream of living in a natural world is cut short. Ruby wants nothing more than to find a way to be reunited with her parents, but first she must help save the last giant dragonfly in existence on a sweetly scary planet called Saardu.
