On a beautiful spring day in March a general officer at the Pentagon signs orders that could be a death sentence to a group of one hundred and five men and women. The mission is of the utmost importance, and will bring another star to the general's shoulders. The corners of the general's lips twitched into a lopsided smile as he stares at his signature--the entire unit of one hundred and five soldiers are expendable, he reasons. The next six months are a roller coaster ride of deceit, secrecy, discovery and death, as the accomplishment of this mission teeters on catastrophic loss for some and promotion for others.
