This edition is specifically designed for use by Western rite parishes of the Eastern Orthodox Church. It features traditional English usages drawn from the original 1544 and 1928 editions, but also reflects English Orthodox usage in its numbering of the Sundays after Trinity Sunday, the use of the Litany, and the distribution of Gospels and Lessons. This new edition also incorporates weekday Old Testament Canticles into the Morning Prayers.
