"Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader?" is a 2009 story featuring the DC Comics character of Batman. The story is published in two parts, in the "final" issues of the series Batman (#686) and Detective Comics (#853), released February and April respectively. Written by Neil Gaiman, pencilled by Andy Kubert, and inked by Scott Williams, the story is purported to be the "last" Batman story in the wake of severe psychological trauma that Batman endures within the Batman R.I.P. story, and his ultimate fate in Final Crisis.
The storyline won the "Best Comic" SFX Sci-Fi Award in 2010.It won the 2009 British Fantasy Award for Best Comic/Graphic Novel. In April 2010, it was nominated for the Hugo Award for Best Graphic Story

评分盖曼大神的神作不解释，如果蝙蝠侠注定要有一个结局，那么这个故事将是最完美的收场。
评分相比现在的标题还是更喜欢盖曼叔原来想的“THE END”。不存在的结局，只有轮回。//后面三个故事也各有特色，喜欢第二篇黑白漫的形式，故事里比较喜欢最后一个。
评分尼尔盖曼笔下的老爷，每一个画面每一句台词都很美，每个人都在谈论他们心中蝙蝠侠的样子，而“蝙蝠侠故事的结局是他的死亡”，“布鲁斯，你上不了天堂也下不了地狱，你知道做蝙蝠侠的唯一奖赏是什么吗？继续做蝙蝠侠。是你说晚安的时候了。”“晚安哥谭市，晚安蝙蝠信号灯，晚安夜晚的繁星，晚安。”
