Love Craft 的文風可謂是古典詭異、艷麗晦澀。不過讀取原著依舊是瞭解剋蘇魯神話魅力的最佳途徑。
评分讀的第四部Lovecraft的小說，習慣瞭他的敘述手法，幾部小說的套路也很相似，所以這本給人以驚喜的地方不多，不過放到當時的話，應該算是是十分具有想象力瞭。
评分第一次讀愛手藝先生的原著，選擇《異星之彩》純粹是因為跑團需要+沒買《死靈之書》 語言並不難懂，細節豐富，有機會會讀一下個人最喜歡（最好理解）的 The Dunwich Horror
