理想主义者的最好结局，是让身边的人过上好生活，而自己只能一辈子承受无法实现理想的痛苦。

看完之后只剩唏嘘。无法整理自己的情绪。全书真是扇了政治理想主义者无数次脸啊。Raisa死了，Leo为了查明她死亡的真相花了足足16年啊，最后虽然知道了真相可他却因为“通番卖国”入狱。然而他却让Zoya、Elena能在苏联安稳地结婚生子，甚至让Nara、Zabi能够逃离阿富汗在美国过新的生活。书的前半段写James Austin来苏联参观及表演，苏联政府为了在他面前装逼带他逛指定的商场，连买东西的人都是指定好了的"茄哩啡"，瞬间让我联想起天朝也是这副德行，小时候装得还少了吗？看到中间稍微觉得没劲，直到Raisa死开始觉得悬疑，以10倍于前面的速度阅读后半段。Leo在阿富汗的经历看得最心痛。而最后的真相是杀James Austin的不是FBI，而是他一直视为同志的苏维埃！搞政治的没一个好东西

Leo Deminov三部曲的最后一部。中间气有点弱，讲阿富汗战争略contrived, 好在结尾很棒，所谓bittersweet ending莫过于此了吧。

所谓一鼓作气，再而衰，三而竭，黑暗苏联三部曲和同类型但质量坚挺的千禧三部曲比还是有点距离。。。PS:五六十年代的苏联和某时期的天朝真是太像了。。。
