之前对Hemingway有刻板印象，直到年初读《天才的编辑》发现他的软肋，才开始对他着迷。刚读完Nabokov，对华丽词藻跟刻意叙事深感厌倦，想选与之反差大的，便选了这本。读H在巴黎写作恋爱喝酒赛马的日子，他是那么的直抒胸臆，刻薄又可爱，狡黠又坦诚。不只对读者坦诚，也对自己坦诚。
