Since magnesium is the lightest of all structural metals, and due to its low density and high specific mechanical properties, it has become a popular material for applications in the automotive, aerospace, electronics and sports equipment industries. Chapters will address processing technology, magnesium alloys, magnesium composites, and corrosion aspects of magnesium-based materials.Appendices will include a list of global magnesium suppliers and research groups that are studying magnesium-based processing, and should appeal to both academic and industrial readers.
