假設奇幻的基礎是架空的過去，或者說重新書寫曆史/重現某種價值觀的欲望，那麼T. H. White不受吾朝重視的原因隻有一個：他所重構的這一切既不像LOR那般古老輝煌，也並非當代奇幻這樣殘缺嚮前，而恰恰類似於中國文化已遺棄的那種自然世界觀。
