看了三分之一，实在看不下去，拙劣的模仿，冗长而啰嗦的叙事，压缩到三分之一篇幅也许还能一读，迄今为止所看到的福尔摩斯续作全是狗尾。

非常一般的犯罪小说,推理和悬疑都算不上,霍洛维茨的水平还是不行,写得又臭又长,在飞机上才勉强看完,虽然对柯南道尔的原著模仿还算到位,但案情实在是一言难尽.我也算是理解为什么福尔摩斯系列只有短篇和四篇中篇,因为里面的任何一个案子都难以写成长篇.而我们的霍洛维茨依然拿着中篇的故事塞进长篇的体量,后果可想而知.

真的要和SH的故事说再见了，维多利亚时代的福尔摩斯，只有那么一个，而且永远也只有那么一个人了。花了三天的时间才缓慢的磨完这本书，内心的阻抗真心太过于明显，虽然一下午就把中文版的看完，在合上书还是不免太多的遗憾。
