MATTHEW M. RADMANESH received his MSEE and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Michigan. He has worked in RF and Microwave industry for Maury Microwave Corp., Boeing Aircraft Co., and Hughes Aircraft Co. He is currently a faculty member at the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at California State University, Northridge, CA.

In Radio Frequency and Microwave Electronics Illustrated, Dr. Matthew Radmanesh has written the ideal book for this new generation of RF/microwave engineer -- minimizing mathematics in favor of a highly graphical approach that includes scores of examples covering every key measurement, electronic, and design principle engineers must understand to be effective. The book starts with an overview of the basic concepts and laws of electrical and electronics engineering, and the fundamental circuit mathematics and low-frequency concepts engineers need before they can successfully design RF/wireless systems. He reviews impedance matching and passive circuit design; and demonstrates how to use the Smith Chart in designing circuits -- both circuits that contain only distributed elements, such as transmission lines, and circuits with both distributed and lumped elements.
