This entrancing collection of seven classic fairytales is organized around the theme of the fairytale princess. Each fairytale is illustrated by photographs of intricate paper sculptures cut from the pages of one of seven books, one for each of the fairytales in the collection. Su Blackwells beautifully photographed paper sculptures summon up a magical world of beauty and mischief, while Wendy Joness retellings of these favourite stories are fresh and lyrical. Each fairytale has its own particular visual flavour: for example, the story of "Sleeping Beauty" is blue and dreamy, while "The Princess and the Pea" is green and summery.
