前几章看的时候觉得平平淡淡的，没有什么抓眼球的，后来看着看着，看到Matty破产那一章所有的故事才开始拨开云雾，我才开始认识这群剩女的可爱，想起因救人而牺牲的Mr. Brown，还有离家出走最后又回来与姐姐Matty相聚的Peter，他们相聚的那一刻内心是感动的，Matty为人善良但却仿佛涉世未深，不知道打理家业，幸好Cranford都是好人，仆人愿意继续照顾她，卖茶的老板还给他指了明路，Mary也和她的父亲共同帮助她，还有其他的女士也尽其所能去帮助......是个平淡却不失温暖的故事。
