The book is not entirely about swimming, but the writing circles around it, surprisingly warm and delicate unlike most other sports memoirs.
评分leanne shapton's collection of swimming suits, pools, and waters are some of the most poignant images in my recent experience, while the writing could be further edited. the structure of such a project is not only curious but inspiring. the most encouraging thought of all is to treat everything we do as "laps" thus to defeat all difficulties.
评分第二遍读虽然没有第一遍感觉好，不过仍旧是文字描写身体记忆的优秀尝试。写体育和舞蹈的文字都是明知不可为而为之，硬要隔靴搔痒的努力。
