三星半。小說題目改成<Hetty>可能更為妥當。人物性格刻畫實在有點蒼白和單一。很模糊，第一本小說，也是正常。基督徒的思想和傳教意義是小說的重點，而不是情節，就目前來看的話。

这是一部世界名著，是两百年前的英国女作家乔治.艾略特的作品。写的是爱情故事，最后是“有情人终成眷属”。小说的笔触细腻，形容和描绘非常生动，尤其是描写景物时候，那美妙的词语层出不穷！文笔真赞！此书足以可以当学生们写作的教科书了。

飓风（http://www.douban.com/group/topic/19880971/）刚看完了哈代的《The Woodlanders》，两年前买的书，拖到现在才看。哈代的书，除了这本，只看过《苔丝》，那还是上学的时候读的译本。回想起来，翻译的应该不错，因为印象中很好看，景色描写很传神，人物情节也动人。 ...
