这本和Wild Swans一起读，明显看出两个作者英文功底的差别。不得不感慨香港早期的英文教育真的是潜移默化。不过在情节和格局上这本比不上wild swans,毕竟三代人的历史厚度在那里。非常喜欢这本的文字和语言，希望哪天也可以达到这样的写作水平。
