作品和现实，真相与假相，过去和现在交错，但每一段记载都展现出了最纯粹的爱，每一个角色因为各种各样的爱而产生希望、恐惧、勇气和绝望，情人之爱、亲人之爱、信仰之爱。喜欢这类在战争背景下描述的哀伤又美好的故事。

我是在《鲤·以爱之名》上读到这部小说的节选，就接连着把它读完了。阅读过程回归到小时候那种进入一个世界然后爱上文字这个世界的境界里去了。途中休息了两次，偶尔抬头望望图书馆的玻璃窗外往来的行人，又迅速的回归书中。这次读书的经历与看《怦然心动》很像，有种透视...

I thought it was okay when I started out but I guess it's like a slow burn. It's too painfully beautiful. The blank pages at the end almost killed me.

My advice: read it slowly! (this morning on BART, i was shocked for ~30s when I realized the book has ended). Always fascinated by books within books. Part of me wishes I can read the History of Love and Words for Everything (by Leo Gursky of course), part of me is afraid that would ruin the beauty and magic.

什么时候才是对的时间...怎么才算是对的人... 生活对于普通人哪有万事顺意，唯有历经世事后痴情人的惋惜。。。其实我有一点点类似的经历。当我给那个一脸懵逼的少年一个中国式的awkward拥抱，他大概也像书中小女孩最后被老头子吓到一样吧心想这什么鬼。。。 “对”的时候读一本“对”的书，感恩笔者的文字穿越时空来到我心里。

应该是十几年前在光合作用随手翻了几页中文版，没想到后来再没看到这本书。机缘巧合，今年看到了英文版。时间和它的玩笑，就像书里的种种，也成为了我的阅读体验的一部分。
