非常有阅读快感的一本赛朋，剧情干净利落，悬疑和解谜合理，大量运用的短句子让剧情非常有冲击力，高潮迭起。全书最爽的一段是Kovacs把川原和Bancroft案子联系在一起那里，几乎一两个单词构成一个句子，结果是雪崩一般的阅读快感。Kovacs作为一个关心那些无人在乎、被随意践踏杀害的小人物的硬汉“侦探”，表面冷硬内里温柔，非常有吸引力。Ortega和Kovacs之间的感情很带感很纠结，关于有吸引力的到底是灵魂还是躯壳之类。川原和Bancroft夫妇这些Meth的形象相当立体，尤其是川原出生的背景和她对被她当做原料和一次性消费品的小人物的态度，让川原成为了一个让人信服、毫不中二的反派。以及我超喜欢Trepp，以及她Kovacs之间那种哥俩好的感觉。AI the Hendrix的幽默感也很有意思。

一般，头重脚轻，披着cyborg皮的hardboiled，不太是我的菜。唯一有意思的就是double sleeve那段。

英国新一代科幻作家的代表，毕业于剑桥大学，主修历史，之后周游世界，从事英语教学工作。2002年《副本》出版以后成为专职作家。

作为科幻作家，理查德·摩根对未来的看法十分悲观。这种观念也许来自他对历史的研究。在一次采访中，他明确表示：“人类社会现在是、过去是，将来也必然是以压迫、剥削大众为目的的存在。”

这种思想让他的科幻小说呈现出鲜明的反乌托邦色彩，《副本》就是其中的典型。

《副本》是他的科瓦奇系列的第一部。阴郁的色调、飞快的节奏，加上坚实的未来科技内核，让这部作品具有强烈的赛伯朋克风格；从结构布局上看，又与美国30 年代硬汉派侦探小说十分相似。文风极有硬汉派侦探小说大师雷蒙德·钱德勒的神韵--坚硬冷峻，时有隽语，显示出批判的锋芒。
