Following the death of her brilliant mathematician father, Catherine struggles to come to terms with his legacy. Inheriting some of both his brilliance and his instability, she is torn between her sister, Claire, who wants to take her back to New York, and Hal, a former student of her father's, who tests both her knowledge and her emotions. In Proof, David Auburn has fashioned a subtle and gripping exploration of loss, guilt, discovery, instability, and, ultimately, the elusive nature of truth.

评分4.5, subtracting that 0.5 for being way too short. Hal是不是没学过epistemology. Come to that, 学了也不代表就能figure it out.
评分很长一段时间里读的第一本书,太喜欢scene 1! yooo math battling in a dim dark tiny room 然后爱情线情理之中地出现,画面flashback, while dad was still here... yet at the end of the day dad’s still useless as described, no surprise no twist or turn he’s just a mad old mathematician going downhill 期待的神话并没有到来,最后的感情留白刚刚好,戏剧果然还是现实的纷争
评分Interesting.
